I embrace the concept of Wabi-sabi, the art of imperfect beauty and expression of “time frozen”. Accepting the natural cycle that all things are impermanent, imperfect, incomplete and are in a constant state of never-ending and dissolving into nothingness. Though things wabi-sabi may be extremely faint, fragile or desiccated, they still possess undiminished poise and strength of character and beauty within. I wish to take viewers a journey to explore an object in its passage through time and understanding that all things are in a constant state of becoming or dissolving back into earth”.
